Bulldogs Fall To Mesabi East

The Carlton Bulldogs hosted the Mesabi East Giants on Friday night in a game that would take 2.5 hours. The Giants would close the door on the Bulldogs, winning 10-2 on the night.

The Bulldogs took the early 2-0 lead and held it into the 3rd inning, but thats when the Giants had timely hitting with 2 outs in the inning, rallying off 9 runs including a 3 run HR from Josh Houdek to take the 9-2 lead. The Giants would only score one more run throughout the next 4 innings as they went on to win 10-2 to grab their 8th win on the season.

Taking the loss for the Bulldogs was Evan Gray who went 3 innings, allowing 8 hits, allowing 9 runs, and striking out 1. Josh Dallman came in relieve for the Bulldogs and threw 2 scoreless innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 4. Mike Moralez went 1-1 for the Bulldogs and drove in an RBI. Gray went 2-2, and Brytton George went 1-2 with an RBI.

The Bulldogs drop to 1-6 on the season and will travel to play the East Central Eagles on Monday, May 12th.
