Barnum To Host Volleyball Invite

The Barnum Bombers will be hosting their annual invitational volleyball tournament on Saturday September 18th at Barnum High School. Head Coach Corina Newman is the tournament coordinator for the tournament which will begin at 9:00 am with pool play.

Six teams, divided into two pools, will begin round robin play at 9:00 am with first round games. The second round begins at approximately 10:15 and the last round of pool play begins tentatively at 11:30 am.

Pool assignments are in Pool A: Barnum, McGregor, and Silver Bay. In pool B the teams are Wrenshall, East Central, and Cromwell. After pool play, the teams will be seeded and the playoff bracket will begin approximately at 12:45. Semi-Final matchups are scheduled to being at 2:00 pm and the championship and third place matches being at 3:00 pm.

Barnum is the defending Champions of the invitational tournament. The Bombers defeated Cook County in last season’s championship matchup. A trophy will be awarded to the championship team, and medals will be awarded to all players on the first and second place teams.
