CEC Tennis Drops A Pair On The Road

It was a rough weekend for Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls tennis team. The Lady Jacks fell 6-1 to Cambridge-Isanti and 5-2 to St. Francis on Saturday on the road.

Against C-I the lone CEC win came at #3 doubles when Alyssa Acheson and Breanne Baker took a 6-2, 7-6 win over Maddie Booth and Ellie Osborne. CEC’s next nearest chance to nab a win was at #2 doubles when the team of Lizz Jezierski and Steph Campbell fell in a tight match 4-6, 7-6, 10-5 to their opponents.

In their second match of the day the Jacks notched wins from Kelsey Collier and Savanna Ellena at #1 and #2 singles respectively, but they were unable to find any more wins in singles or doubles.
