Hermantown Falls To Chisago Lakes

The Hermantown Hawks and Chisago Lakes Wildcats matched up at Duluth Denfeld on Wednesday night. The Wildcats would scratch and claw their way past the Hawks, winning 69-55.

Hermantown held a 10 point lead in the first half, but the Wildcats came storming back to grab the 37-36 lead at the half. The second half would be much of the same as Hermantown was outscored 32-19 in the second half.

The Hawks were led by Emily Neumann who had 27 points including 5 threes. Carly Hansen followed with 15, Kianna Hren pitched in 5, Jordyn Thomas added 4, and Shania Bolen and Courtney Kaneski both topped it off with 2.

Bryanna Fernstrom led the Wildcats to the win with 25. Sarah Green and Carmen Backes also help with 18 and 12 respectively.

The Hawks season ends with a 17-10 record. The Wildcats improve to 21-6 and advance to the Section 7AAA finals against the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks (19-9). The game will be held at Duluth Denfeld on March 14th with a 7:00 PM tipoff.
