Thunder Football Ready For Fourth Season

With new Head Coach Keith Turner leading the way, the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Thunder Football Team will open the 2010 season as the new recruits take the field for the opening day of practice on Monday, August 9. Head Coach Turner expects a roster of 45 players to be present on opening day.

Thunder football athletes will report in over the weekend of August 7-8 for team meetings. The team will get down to football business with practice on Monday at Hilltop Park for the first time this season at 2:30 p.m. The Thunder’s first game is an 8:00 p.m.night game on the road against Central Lakes College at the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Kick-off Classic in St. Cloud on Saturday, August 28. The Thunder home opener is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 4 at Bromberg Field in Cloquet against Minnesota State-Fergus Falls.

Other home games at Bromberg Field for the Thunder include Saturday, October 2 against Northland Community College. The Thunder will play two home games at Public Schools Stadium, one on Saturday, September 18 against Rochester Technical College, and then again on Friday, October 15 against Vermilion Community College.
