The Esko boys basketball opened defense of their Section 7AA boys basketball title by downing Two Harbors 70-23 on Tuesday night.  The game was never in doubt as the Eskomos rolled into halftime with a 46-10 lead as 10 different players got on the scoreboard.

Kory Deadrick led all scorers with 26 points as Esko over powered the Agates.  Marc Peterson also was in double figures with 12 points for the Eskomos.

Jacob Lindstrom added nine points for Esko, it was Nate Johnson scoring six points, Elijah Mattinen and Aaron Olson both finished with four points, Jaxson Turner chipped in with three points, it was two each for Matt Bolgrean, Nick Emanuel and Reed Bakken.

Esko will move on to play in Saturday’s quarterfinal round at UMD at 7:30 against the winner of tonight’s game between Aitkin and Hinckely/Finlayson.
