Barnum Squeaks By Aitkin

The Barnum Bomber girls squeaked out the victory on Monday night against the Aitkin Gobblers. The Bombers topped the Gobblers 64-63 in the tight matchup.

The Gobblers lead at the half, 37-35 but Barnum would battle back in the second half, outscoring Aitkin 29-26 to grab their  4th straight win.

Leading the Bombers to the victory was Daron Mainville with 16 points, Cheyanne Johnson with 14 points and Emily Miletich with 10. Also in the box score for the Bombers was Lauren Hultgren with 9, Megan Nelson with 6, Jaelyn Bushey with 5, and Alisabeth Warpula topping it off with 4.

Aitkin was lead by Bailey Nordean  who had 16, Madison Newton who scored 15, and  Ellie Michaletz who notched 13 in the loss.

The Bombers improve to 15-6 on the season and will match up with Polar League foe, the Esko Eskomos (19-5) on February 27th with a 7:30 PM start. Aitkin falls to 17-6 with the loss.
