Rebels Slip Past Bulldogs

Ezra Szczyrbak had a game high 23 points and the Moose Lake-Willow River boys basketball team pushed a double-digit halftime lead to a 69-43 win over the Carlton Bulldogs on Friday night.

The Rebels, who also got a 15 point effort from Charlie Adamczak, held a 34-21 halftime edge and then outscored the Bulldogs35-22 on their way to the victory.

Zach Schaumburg added nine for the Rebels, while it was eight for Matt Mach, five for Isaac Riihilouma, four points from Ike Peterson, three for Trenton Autio and two points for Brennan Sylvester.

Adam Ermatinger led the Bulldogs with a 16 point night, while Tyler Ojibway finished with 10 points. Cade Pierson chipped in with seven, it was Dominic Bennett adding five for the Bulldogs, Waylon Legander recorded three points and Nick Lee finished with a pair of points.
