Esko Falls To Two Harbors In Section 7AA Playoffs

The Esko High School softball season came to a screeching halt on Tuesday afternoon when the Eskomos suffered a 12-2 loss to the Two Harbors Agates in the first round of the Section 7AA tournament in Esko.

Last weekend, the Eskomos traveled to Two Harbors for their final regular season game of the year and they got a glimpse of the vastly improved Agate squad. On Tuesday, Esko found out that the Agates are not a fluke and that the young Two Harbors team will be a group to contend with in the future.

While both teams are talented and young, the Agates rode the stellar pitching of sophomore sensation Madison Olson. Olson pitched all seven innings and allowed just five hits. She also struck out five, while walking two as Two Harbors improved to 12-6.

At the plate it was senior Abby Ray leading the Agates with two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Senior Savannah Hanson led the Eskomos with a double. Esko falls to 10-10 on the season.
