Panthers Fall To Nighthawks

The South Ridge Panthers and Northeast Range Nighthawks squared off on Tuesday night. The Panthers would fall to the Nighthawks, 61-47.

The Panthers held the lead 35-26 at the half, but they couldn’t hold onto the lead as they would be outscored 35-12 in the second half and fall 61-47.

The Panthers were lead by Mikayla Olesiak in the loss. Olesiak scored a team high 16 points. Krystal Karppinen scored 10 points on the evening, Ryanna Anvid notched 7, Justice Janke scored 6, Lindsey Janke pitched in 5, and Mallory Thibault topped it off with 3 points.

The Nighthawks were led by Katie Lenci who scored 15 points, Signe Scholl who added 14, Taneesha Dupree and Hayley Lilya each scored 10, Tori Barsness added 9, and Brielle Wills topped it off with 3.

The Nighthawks improve to 14-4 on the season, while the Panthers fall to 11-8. The Panthers will be in action next when they travel to play the Floodwood Polar Bears (10-9) on February 13th.
