Wrenshall Squeaks By Hill City

The Wrenshall Wrens hosted the Hill City Hornets on Tuesday. The Wrens would come out victorious with the narrow 69-65 victory.

The Wrens held a slim 37-35 lead at the half and would narrowly outscore the Hornets 32-30 in the second half while coming out with the slim 69-65 win.

Leading the Wrens in the win was Marcus Virginia and Jared Kittel who each scored 21 points in the victory. Aaron Adkins notched a nice 17 point performance in the win, Jessie Ellerbe added 6 points, and Andrew Frank topped it off with 4 points.

For Hill City, Nathan Oukrop had a team high 17 points. Jordan Johnson pitched in 15, Mason Watkins added 10 points, Marcus Wagner scored 9, Austin Dunham notched 6, and Christ James and Kix Martin rounded it out with 4 points each.

The Wrens improve to 11-9 on the season and will play the Cromwell Cardinals (5-16) on February 14th. The Hill City Hornets fall to 9-13 with the loss.
