Falcons Pick Up Fourteenth Win Of The Season

It has been a magical ride so far for the AlBrook baseball team this season. The only loss the Falcons have suffered was to highly ranked Ely, and on Monday night AlBrook picked up their 14th win of the season by blanking Two Harbors 3-0.

Cody Anderson tossed a complete game 3-hitter and struck out 11 in picking up the win for AlBrook. Anderson allowed four walks and had a masterful performance.

Meanwhile, on the offensive side of things, the Falcons got a 2-for-3 performance from Kolten Karppinen.

The Agates had a strongly pitched game of their own from John Forsberg, who went all seven innings and allowed only four hits. Two of Forsberg’s four hits came from Karppinen. Forsberg struck out eight in the game.

The Falcons improve o 14-1 on the season. They will have a quick turnaround and be back in action on Tuesday when they host Silver Bay at 4:30pm.
