The hosting Mora Mustangs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and never looked back as they beat the Eskomos 5-0 Monday afternoon. The Mustangs scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning and went on to win this non-conference game.

The Mustangs held the Eskomos to only two hits in the loss. Adam Deveau and Cody Townsend were the only two Eskomos that could muster a hit Monday afternoon. Esko sent only twenty three batters to the plate, this being just two over the minimum.

Cody Townsend was the losing pitcher for Esko. He threw a good game for by giving up seven hits and five runs, with four of the runs being earned. Townsend struck out four Mustangs batters, while only walking one in the loss.

With the loss, Esko drops its second straight game and fall to 10-9 overall on the season. The Eskomos will wrap up their regular season on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Pine City to face the Dragons. Mora improves to 12-6 overall and host Albany at home Tuesday afternoon.
