Rebels Run By Mercuries

The MLWR Rebels and McGregor Mercuries squared off on Friday night in a game that would see the Rebels win in dominating fashion, 81-43.

The Rebels lead 37-19 at the half and would continue to dominate, outscoring the Mercuries 44-24 in the second half while on their way to the 81-43 victory.

Leading the Rebels in the win was a very balanced attack of scorers .Matt Mach and Charlie Adamczak each had a team high 15 points, Rex Janke added 12 in the win, Ezra Szczyrbak  pitched in 11, and Ike Pederson scored 10. Also scoring in the victory, Brad Fossum added 8, Isaac Riihiluoma pitched in 4, Trenton Autio and Ted Ryan scored 2, and Milan Dragicevich and Ethan Hibke topped it off with 1 a piece.

In the loss for the Mercuries, Auston Anderson had a game high 17 points, Layne Sprague added 11, Cole Gelhar pitched in 9 points, Billy Staska scored 4,  and Jordan Mickelson rounded it out with 2.

The Rebels improve to 14-7 on the season which includes winning 8 of their last 10. The Mercuries fall to 4-15 on the season and will play. Both, MLWR and McGregor, will both travel to play the Carlton Bulldogs (3-16) next. The Mercuries play them on February 10th and the Rebels will play them on February 14th.
