Lady hawks fall to Wildcats

Bryanna Fernstrom scored 26 points Saturday afternoon as the Wildcats of Chisago Lakes defeated the Hermantown Hawks 52-37 in a sectional battle at Hermantown High School.

The Wildcats built up a 21-16 lead at halftime and outscored the Hawks by ten in the second half as they come away with the fifteen point win on the road for the section 7AAA top seeded team to date.

The Wildcats took advantage of 26 free throw attempts where they hit 16 of those 26 shots. Hermantown only attempted two free throws the entire game Saturday.

The Hawks were led by Carley Hansen who finished with 10 points, Shania Bolen had 9, while it was Emily Neumann and Kessiah Mosier both ending with 6 points for the Hawks.

Chisago Lakes improves to 15-3 on the season and they play at Princeton on Tuesday night. The Hawks fall to 11-9 overall and they will play at North Branch on Tuesday night in a sectional matchup.
