Wilderness fall in Weekend Series

The Minnesota Wilderness saw their six game winning streak come to an end Friday night at the Wilderness fell 6-1 to the Chill from Coulee Region.

The Chill ten froze the Wilderness out once again on Saturday as they came away with a 3-1 victory to move into second place tie in the Midwest Division of the NAHL.

The weekend sweep over the Wilderness puts both teams tied for second place with 56 overall points. The chill are 28-17-0 overall this season while the Wilderness are 25-13-6.

Friday night the Chill blew out the Wilderness breaking away from a tight 2-1 contest after two periods to score four unanswered goals and come away with he 6-1 victory.

Jaycob McCombs scored the lone Wilderness goal in the loss Friday night, Nolan Culver garnered the lone assist as the Wilderness would out shoot the Chill by a 41-22 margin.

Brett Heikkila score the first goal of the game Saturday night for the Wilderness but it was the Chill once again rattling off three straight goals for the victory. Billy Exell notched the lone assist for the Wilderness on the Heikkila goal.
