Hunters Fall to Vikings

The Duluth Denfeld Hunters fell to the North Branch Vikings on Friday night in a tight, 73-67 loss.

The Vikings held a slight edge over the Hunters at the half, leading 37-33. The Vikings would outscore the Hunters in the second half as well, 36-34, en route to the close 73-67 victory.

The Vikings had 10 players score in the victory including Travis Van Elsberg who notched 27 points, Brandon Thauwald who added 13, and Kyle Burnside who hit double digits with 10.

The Hunters were lead by Jamarr Harkins who scored 26 in the loss. Marques Jones added 10 points in the loss, Des Turner pitched in 9, Kjell Randa notched 8, Bryce Kucharski scored 6, Jackson Monson added 5, and Trevor Otteson topped it off with 3 points.

The Vikings improve to improved to 7-14 with the win and dropped the Hunters to 4-16 on the year. The Hunters play the Proctor Rails (8-11) next on February 11th.
