CROMWELL- The Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels pitched
a second consecutive one hitter Thursday afternoon to aid the Rebels in their 15-2 Polar League win over the Cardinals.

Youngberg pitched a one-hitter on Tuesday against the Floodwood Polar Bears and the Rebels matched that this game to bounce the Cardinals. The Rebels gave up two runs in the first inning coming off of a walk, an error and two pass balls to allow the Cardinals an early 2-0 lead.

The Cardinal lead was short lived, however, as the Rebels stormed right back and took the lead at 4-2 at the end of one inning; they never trailed again. The Rebels pounded out 15 hits in the thirteen-run win.

Kim Ergen and Maddy Adamczak were both 3-4 in the game and each scored two runs for the Rebels. Emily Wasche went 3-5 with 3 runs scored in the win. Andrea Youngberg and Mary Moonen chipped in with 2 hits each and it was Katie Youngberg and Kim Green picking up the other Rebels hits.

RaeAnn Odergaard picked up the lone hit for Cromwell in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Rebels pick up their third win on the season with a win that included
eight strikeouts. Kaylee Harp was the losing pitcher for Cromwell.

The Rebels improve to 3-2 on the season and play at home Monday afternoon against the Tigers of Rush City. The Cardinals fall to 0-6 on the season and host East Central Monday afternoon.
