Carlton’s Hey Scores 41 In Win

Matthew Hey propelled the Carlton offense, scoring a game high 41 points en route to the 108-96 victory over the Lakeview Christian Academy Lions.

The Bulldogs led 53-49 at the half and continued much of the same in the second half, outscoring the Lions 55-47 to secure the key Section 7A victory.

Following Hey’s 41 points was Jacob Santkuyl and Matthew Santkuyl each scoring 16 points, Mateo Garcia Agui adding 15 points, Jackson Mickle scoring 11 points, Ben Soderstrom chipping in 6 points, and Scott Rousseau rounding it out with 3 points.

In the loss for Lakeview, Brandon BarBee also had himself a game, scoring a team high 39 points. Following BarBee was Ryan Johnson with 22 points and Lance Puffer with 17 points. Finishing out the scoring for the Lions was Bennett Easty with 9 points, Garrett Benson with 6 points, and Jacon Easty topping it off with 3 points.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 10-9 on the season. They will be back in action on February 9th when they host the Silver Bay Mariners (13-8). The Lions fall to 12-7 on the year and will look to respond on February 9th when they host the Mountain-Iron Buhl Rangers (8-12).
