Esko Beats Hermantown In Low Scoring Affair

The Esko Eskomos came out with a road win over the Hermantown Hawks on Friday afternoon, winning a pitcher duel, 2-1.

Ryan Bourgeault got the win for the Eskomos, pitching six innings, allowing one run on six hits while striking out four batters. Brody Kaldahl record a one out save for the Eskomos. Ryan Nelson and Riggs Olson went 2-3 for the Eskomos, on a slow offensive day.

Getting the loss for the Hawks was Jesse Jacques, who pitched seven innings, allowing one earned run on eight hits, while fanning four batters. Brady Baker went 2-3 for the Hawks offense, while Drew Adamec had a RBI double in the loss.

With the win, the Eskomos improve to 12-2 on the year, while the Hawks fall to 1-11 on the season.

Esko will be back in action on May 15th when they host Hibbing. The Hawks will look to get back on the winning track on May 15th when they battle with Eveleth-Gilbert.
