The Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers squeaked past the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels on Friday night, by a score of 3-2.

Derrick Winn went 2-2 for the Hilltoppers, scoring one run. While Charlie Kleinschmidt hit a RBI double and scored a run in the win.

Brett Benson got the win on the mound for the Hilltoppers, pitching five innings, allowing zero earned runs on four hits while striking out nine batters.

Brendon Fogelberg got the loss for the Rebels, pitching one inning, allowing two unearned runs on two hits. He struck out three batters and walked four.

With the win, the Hilltoppers improve to 9-4 on the season. They will look for their 10th win of the year on May 13th when they host Mora. The Rebels drop to 5-10 on the year and will look to bounce back on May 15th when they face off with Cook County.
