The Hermantown Hawks hosted the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers on Tuesday afternoon, as they would come out victorious, 4-1, to move to 3-0 on the season.

It didn’t take long for the Hawks to take the lead, as Parker Bjorlin found Daniel Hedstrom for a goal at the 5th minute to have the early advantage. At the 30th minute, Noah Hooey scored from a Damin Pilon assist to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead. Marshall would respond to that goal just five minutes later when Ben Wallerstein assisted Peter Lenz, cutting the Hermantown lead down to 2-1. Two minutes after that goal, Hooey returned the favor to Pilon, assisting on Pilon’s goal, making it 3-1 at the half.

In the 2nd half, Siji Gonzalez scored at the 63rd minute on a pass from Hedstrom, making it a 4-1 final.

Duluth Marshalls goalkeeper, Nic Semaan stopped 11 shots in the loss. Hermantowns Devin Lenz blocked 2 to secure the win.

Hermantown (3-0) will look to remain perfect when they host the Proctor Rails (1-0-1) on September 3rd at 5:00pm. The Hilltoppers fall to 0-3 on the season and will look for their first win on September 2nd when they host the Duluth Denfeld Hunters (0-2) with a 4:30pm start.
