Bombers Blast Bulldogs

The Barnum Bombers started fast Thursday night as the Bombers blew away the Carlton Bulldogs by a score of 90-27 in a Polar League Conference contest at Carlton High School.

Brandon Newman continued on with his outstanding season ad he connected on three 3-pointers and scored a game high 30 points in the Barnum victory on Thursday night.

Barnum scored 49 first half points as the Bombers built up a 49-41 lead at halftime, the Bombers scored 41 more points in the second half as the Bombers won by 63 points.

Zac Carlson scored 14 points to follow Newman in scoring Thursday, Tory Slater added 11 points, Andrew Naslund added 8, Dacotah Haley chipped in with 7 points, Hunter Fetters notched 6, while both Mitchell Weller and Nathan Jelinik each had 4.

The Bulldogs who struggled to get their offense going were led by Tyler Ojibway who scored 14 points, Adam Ermatinger added 4 points while Cade Pierson and Eric Soderstrom ended with 3 each.

Barnum improves to 17-1 overall and they will take on Floodwood on Friday night in Floodwood as they put their 16 game win streak on the line.

Carlton falls to 2-13 Friday night and they will host Silver Bay in a conference an sectional match-up.
