A strong second half helped the Denfeld Hunters come from behind at halftime to pick up a Lake Superior Conference victory Saturday at Duluth Marshall.

The Hunters who trailed by a score of 22-21 came back in the second half outscoring the Hilltoppers 43-30 in the second half to come away with the twelve point win.

Sjon Randa led the Hunters with 20 points on the afternoon, Jamarr Harkins added 19, while Jack Monson finished with 8, and Connor Behm chipped in with 5 as did Bryce Kucharski. Marques Jones finished with 4 and it was Des Turner rounding out the scoring with 3 points.

The Hilltoppers were led by Alex Davis who scored 14 points, Levi Staine added 12, Adam Kneepkens and Cole Feriancek each chipped in with 9 and it was Cole Bradshaw finishing with 8 points.

The Hunters win their second straight contest and improve to 3-13 overall and they will travel to Cloquet on Tuesday night to face the Lumberjacks in a sectional and conference match-up.

Duluth Marshall has now lost five straight as they fall to 5-11 on the season. The Hilltoppers will try to end that losing streak on next Friday night when they will face the Cherry Tigers at Cherry High School.
