Barnum Continues Hot Streak

The Barnum Bombers haven’t lost a game since December 6th and have been riding a 12 game winning streak since. The streak moved to 13 games on Tuesday night, when the Bombers downed the Cromwell Cardinals, 89-40.

The Bombers got out to a quick and fast lead over the Cardinals in the 1st half, grabbing the 50-24 lead. They wouldn’t stop there as they would outscore them in the second half 39-16 en route to the 89-40 victory.

The Bombers used a very balanced scoring attack to get the victory. Zac Carlson and Nathan Jelinek each scored 16, Brandon Newman added 15, Mitchell Weller scored 13, and Dacotah Haley hit double figures with 10. Also scoring in the win for the Bombers was Tory Slater who added 6, Chase Peterson scored 4, Tanner Fuglestad pitched in 3, and Andrew Naslund, Cory Buchanan, and Hunter Fetters all notched 2 a piece.

In the loss for the Cardinals, Tyler Hakamaki had a team high 13 points, Austin Pfisthner put 10 on the scoreboard, Zion Smith tallied 6, Tyler Randall and Brandon Fairbanks each had 4, Carter Karppinen scored 2, and Tristan Johnson topped it off with 1.

The Bombers improve 14-1 on the season and will look to keep the hot streak going when they play the Aitkin Gobblers (7-8) at home on January 24th. The Cardinals fall to 3-13 on the season and will look to get back on the winning track when they play the Carlton Bulldogs (2-11) at home on January 24th.
