Cofield & Steen lead Jacks Past Hibbing

Jaiden Cofield and Kassidy Steen combined for 43 points and the Cloquet girls basketball team trounced Hibbing 62-40 at home on Tuesday night.

The Lumberjacks streaked to a 35-26 advantage at halftime and then outscored the Blue Jackets 27-14 in the second half to take the win.

Cofield led the Jacks with 22 points, while Steen dumped in 21 points.  Hazel Erickson added eight points, Anna Fossen chipped in with six, it was four points for Tara Longseth and Breanne Baker added a point.

Olivia Hyduke led the Blue Jackets with 13 points and was the only Hibbing player in scoring.

Cloquet hit six 3-pointers while the Blue Jackets managed just a pair of long range shots in the game.
