The Floodwood Polar Bears and Two Harbors Agates have both been putting together nice seasons midway through the year, but it would take extra time to decide this game, as the Two Harbors Agates would narrowly edge the Floodwood Polar Bears in overtime, 53-52.

Floodwood held the advantage at halftime, leading 24-19 but the Agates battled back to outscore the Polar Bears 28-23 in the second half forcing overtime. In overtime it would be the Agates narrowly edging the Polar Bears  6-5 to give them the victory.

Leading the way in the win for the Agates was Alex Lemke who notched a game high 27 points. Kyler Kinn added 8 points, Kyle Omtvedt pitched in 6, Hunter Preston and John Peer Jr each had 5, and Tim Bott rounded it out with 2 points.

In the loss for the Polar Bears, Willow Christenson notched 19 points. Tanner Haggedahl also hit double digits added 10 points. Riley Bernsdorf add 9, Damien Autio tallied 8 points and Noah Thompson topped it off with 6.

The Two Harbors Agates improve to 6-5 on the season and will square off with the Wrenshall Wrens (6-5) at home on January 17th. The Floodwood Polar Bears fall to 9-3 on the year and match up with the Cromwell Cardinals (2-10) on the road on January 14th.
