The Hermantown Hawks picks up a huge road win Thursday night after the Hawks defeated the MLWR Rebels by a score of 67-62 in a non-conference match-up.

The Hawks outscored the Rebels by nine points 34-25 by halftime but the second half saw the Rebels comeback and but the final score to five.

The Hawks et the Rebels back into the game as they struggled from the free throw line only making three of fifteen attempts on the night.

Chase Hren would lead the Hawks in scoring Thursday as he finished with 15 points including two 3-pointers, Thomas Madison added 14 and Cade Zacharias added 12 in the Hawk victory.

Ike Pederson led all scorers Thursday night as he finished with 20 points including connecting on five long range bombs for MLWR. Matt Mach and Trenton Autio also were in double figures as they had 13 and 10 points respectively.

The Hawks improved to 7-4 overall on the season and they are back in action again on Saturday when they will take on Thief River Falls on the road.

The Rebels fall to 6-5 on the season and they look to get back in the win column on Friday night when they will host Wrenshall in a Polar League contest.
