Olesiak hits 1000!

CULVER, MINN.-

South Ridge Junior Mikayla Olesiak passed the 1000 point milestone tonight at the Panther’s home game vs. Mt. Iron Buhl.

Olesiak needed five points tonight to hit 1000, she did it right off the bat scoring the first five points for South Ridge.

She scored the first two points for South Ridge on a basket underneath with an assist from team mate Justice Janke. The next offensive possesion she hit a three-pointer. Her cousin sophomore Mallory Thibault, on the floor fighting for the ball, managed to roll the ball to her at the three-point line and she swished the basket and hit 1000 career points!

Mikayla scored 10 points her seventh grade year, 185 points as an eight grader, 246 points as a Freshman, 407 points as a sophomore, and entering the game tonight she was at 147 points so far this season as a Junior. Olesiak ended the night with a total of 15.
