Thunder Basketball have split Weekend

The FDLTCC Men’s and Women’s basketball teams both split this weekend in Virginia Minnesota

Friday the Women’s Basketball Team lost to Gogebic Community College by a score of 101-72. Leading scorers for the Thunder included Claudia Turner with 25 points, and Kami Diver with 15 points. The Thunder Women moved to 3-7 after the loss on Friday.

The FDLTCC Thunder Women’s Basketball team defeated United Tribes Technical College Saturday by a score of 70-66. The Thunder Women improve to 4-7 with the victory. The Thunder had 5 players scoring in double figures, lead by Claudia Turner with 21 points, Shaelyn Halverson with 12, Kami Diver with 11, and Haley Psyck and Da’Rnay Sandlin with 10 points each. The Thunder also had good production on the boards, with Psyck pulling down 14 rebounds, Sandlin had 13, and Diver with 11 rebounds. 

The Thunder Men defeated Gogebic Community College 76-73, on Friday and improved to 3-8 on the season. Leading scorers for the Thunder were Danny Alston with 21 points, Michael Hudson with 15, and Erik Adams with 12.

Saturday afternoon the Thunder Men lost to United Tribes Technical College by a score of 87-77 to fall to 3-9 overall. The Thunder men were led in scoring by Danny Alston with 19 points, followed by Michael Hudson with 16, while Deaundre Bell and Erik Adams added 12 points each.
