Wilderness Split Weekend Series

The Minnesota Wilderness split this weekend’s series with Kenai River at Northwoods Credit Union Arena in Cloquet.

The Wilderness shut out the Brown Bears Friday night by a score of 2-0 as Jacob Romo and Eric Brenk tallied the two goals in the Wilderness victory.

Kasimir Kaskisuo had the complete game shutout for the win as he stopped all 20 shots he faced Friday night.

Saturday night the Brown Bears responded back shutting out the Wilderness by a score of 3-0 despite the Wilderness outshooting the Brown Bears by a 33-22 margin.

The Wilderness are 18-7-5 overall on the season and they are currently in second place in the Midwest Division behind Fairbanks. The Wilderness have 41 points overall while the Ice Dogs have a Division leading 44 points.

The Wilderness are home next weekend as they will host the Minnesota Magicians on Friday and Saturday nights at Northwoods Credit Union Arena.
