Bombers top Cromwell

Barnum raced out to an 18 point halftime lead and then proceeded to extend that lead throughout the second half on Friday night against Cromwell in high school boys basketball. The end result? A 71-40 home win for the Bombers.

Zac Carlson and Brandon Newman combined for 46 of the Bombers 71 points. Carlson finished with a game-high of 25 points and Newman had 21 points.

Barnum zipped to a 38-20 halftime edge and then outscored the visiting Cards 33-20 in the second half.

Hunter Fetters was also in double-digit scoring for the Bombers with 11 points, Dakota Haley chipped in with seven points, Andrew Naslund recorded three points and it was two points each for Mitchell Weller and Nathan Jelinek.

Brandon Fairbanks with 14 points and Austin Pfistner with 13 points led the Cards offense. Also scoring for Cromwell were; Tyler Hakamaki (6), Zion Smith (5), Hunter Rauvola (2).
