Barnum Boys Shoot Down Carlton 66-33

The Barnum Bombers shot down the Carlton Bulldogs Tuesday night in a Polar League matchup in Barnum. Barnum won its fourth straight game with the 66-33 victory at home. Looking to make a final push as the regular season winds down, the Bombers have been playing some of the best basketball of the season.


“It was another good win tonight,” head coach Richard Newman told Northland Sports Online. “Taylor Carlson played a whale of a game tonight. He grabbed 17 rebounds on the night…Our defense stepped it up tonight in the second half, shutting down Adams from penetrating to the basket.” Jake Adams went to the line 14 times in the first half alone for the Bulldogs.


Josh Hogan led all scorers on Tuesday night with 15 points for the Bombers. Hogan also added 11 rebounds in the win. Jacob Naslund scored 13 points, Justin Newman added 10, Carlson finished with 8 Bobby Minkkinen tallied 6 points, Jacob Blumer had 3 points, Andrew Youngren, Derek Sack, Luke Charlberg, Nick White and Hector Chavez all finished with 2 points in the Barnum win.


Jake Adams led the Bulldogs in scoring with 12 points on the night. Carlton falls to 1-17 on the season and host Two Harbors on Friday. The Bombers improve to 16-3 on the season and host Cromwell on Friday night.
