Bombers and Rebels Team Up Against Cancer

Two girls basketball teams will be doing some unselfish things next Thursday night in Barnum. The Moose Lake –Willow River Rebels girls basketball team and the lady Barnum Bombers will team up to raise money for cancer research.

It is not only a challenge on the court next Thursday, but off the court as well. Both teams will be passing cans around at half time to collect money, one for the Moose Lake Willow River fans and one for the Bombers fans.

“This is something that the girls wanted to do and we thought it would be a great way to raise money for a very important cause,” head girls’ coach Randy Myhre told Northland Sports Online. “It shows what great kids we have in the area, raising money like this shows a very unselfish and mature group of kids we have.”
