Jefferson Tops Jacks

Ryan Lind’s two goals for the Lumberjacks was not enough as the Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars knocked off the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks Saturday by a score of 4-2 at Northwoods Credit Union Arena.

The Jaguars scored twice in the first period and twice more in the second period to hold off the Lumberjacks and pick up the non conference victory.

Ryan Lind scored the Lumberjacks first goal of the game after Bloomington Jefferson had jumped out to a 4-0 lead into the second period. Lind’s goal came at the 15:18 mark of the second period and made it a 4-1 Jaguar lead.

Lind’s second goal of the game came in the third period with assists going to Jack Kuhlman and Kyle Klatt, the Lumberjacks who out shot the Jaguars by a margin of 33-21 had a hard time getting the puck past Grant Martens. Zach Strom had 17 saves in the loss for C-E-C.
