Esko’s Pack The Gym A Huge Success

The first annual Esko Hoops “Pack the Gym, Pack the Food Shelf” nights for both the girls’ and boys’ basketball teams were a huge success. Fans & players brought in $918 in cash donations (equaling approximately $8500 in groceries for the food bank) plus an additional 600 non-perishable food items which will go directly to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

The event was held during the Esko vs. Pequot Lakes girls game on January 15th and the Esko boys vs. Crosby Ironton game on January 19th.

The teams that gathered the most donations were the 5th grade girls team and the 8th grade goys team. Both teams will celebrate with a pizza party at Eskomo Pizza Pies.

The Esko Hoops Club would like to thank the Esko basketball fans and Pequot Lakes girls basketball team and fans for their donations as well as Advantage Emblem, Halvor Lines Inc. and the custodial staff at Esko School for all their help and support of this event.
