Boys Basketball

Crosby-Ironton 53 Esko 26

Esko fell behind early and could never regroup, eventually falling to the state ranked Rangers Tuesday at home. Brock Tesdahl led the Rangers with 13 points on the night, while Adam Eskuri led Esko with 7 points.

Cloquet 64 Duluth Marshall 35

The Lumberjacks led 40-14 at halftime and went on to win this one at home
on Tuesday night. RaRa Jones scored a game high of 18 points for the Lumberjacks, while Chad Calcaterra and Tim Defoe each added 16 in the win. John Fox had 12 for the Hilltoppers.

Ashland 77 Proctor 30

Ashland jumped out to a big thirty-one point half time lead and went on to the win Tuesday night at Proctor. Reggie Habas had a game high of 28 points for the Oredockers. Proctor was led by Kaz Anderson, who finished with 6.

Cook County 51 Cromwell 48

Cook County staged a big comeback, capped off with Brock Hommerding’s basket with 14 seconds left on Tuesday night. After trailing by nine points at halftime, the Vikings came back to win this Polar League contest by three points. Nike Austin finished with 15 for Cook County. Ryan Hutar had 12 for the Cardinals.

ML-WR 75 Eveleth-Gilbert 57

Lucas Probst had a game high of 22 points Tuesday night in the Rebels Section 7AA win at home. Probst also added 8 rebounds on the night. Caleb Koecher added 17 points in the win.

Girls Basketball

Cloquet 73 Superior 62

Annabel Morrisroe had a game high of 34 points and Brianna Henagin recorded a triple double to lead the Lumberjacks to the Lake Superior Conference win in Superior. Morrisroe also finished with 15 rebounds on the night. Betty Jo Nelson led the Spartans with 22 points in the loss.

Cook County 60 Cromwell 21

The Vikings built a huge first half lead and easily cruised to the Polar League win on Tuesday night. They were led by Christina Nelson’s 17 points. Tayah Johnson paced the Cardinals with 11 points on the night.

ML-WR 57 Eveleth-Gilbert 56

Natasha Dragicevich scored 21 points as the Rebels hung on to win the Section 7AA matchup in Eveleth. The Rebels led by three at half and withstood a late run to win on the road. Megan Vidas scored a game high of 25 points for the Golden-Bears.

Cook 66 Carlton 53

Despite a 22 point effort by Sara Aili, the Lady Bulldogs fell 66-53 to Cook on the road Tuesday evening.
