The Cloquet Lumberjacks came out making a statement that they are ready to get on a roll and play tough the second half of the season. The Lumberjacks cruised to the 64-35 victory over the Marshall Hilltoppers at home on Tuesday night.

Cloquet opened up early on, going on a 30-6 run to start the game and take a 24 point lead halfway through the first half. They continued to pound the ball inside to Chad Calcaterra, who had 12 points at halftime for Cloquet.

The Jacks used a very balanced scoring attack all night, having four players finish in double figures. They had both the inside game as well as their outside game going strong, shooting over 50% in the first half.

Calcaterra and Tim DeFoe both added 16 points, Andy Wappes finished with 10, Peter LaCourse and Zach Zezulka ended the game with 2 points each. Calcaterra also had 13 rebounds and four blocked shots for the Lumberjacks as well.
