Trevor Nummela came up big Friday night in assisting the
Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels in their win over the McGregor Mercuries in a Polar League matchup at Moose Lake High School. Nummela also led all scorers on the night as he poured in 21 points.

“The kids seem to be clicking just right,” head coach Neil Dickinson told Northland Sports Online. “The guys are working hard and our new system seems to be working as they have been playing much better as a team.” “McGregor is as solid of a team as they come, but we really put a great two half’s and tonight and we were rewarded with the victory,” he added.

Nummela hit the first two baskets of the game, both three pointers, which set the tempo. The Rebels never looked back as they cruised to the 19 point win at home Friday night.
