The Hermantown Hawks won their 15th Lake Superior Conference game in a row in boys high school hockey despite a valiant effort by Proctor goaltender Derek Robinson, who finished the night with 50 saves.

Robinson and his counterpart from Hermantown, Tiegen Brickson, hooked up in a goaltenders dual through one period of play as the game was still scoreless following the opening stanza. Hermantown finally broke through for a goal just 27 seconds into the second period when Kevin Danielson took a feed from Charlie Comnick and Jared Kolquist to make it 1-0 for the Hawks.

Danielson added a second goal 3:49 into the final period to complete the scoring, with Comnick picking up the lone assist.

Robinson was fantastic in making 50 saves on 52 shots, while Brickson finished with 14 saves to preserve the shut out in Proctor.

Hermantown is 10-1 on the season and 3-0 in Lake Superior Conference play.

The Hawks will be back in action Tuesday when they travel to Grand Rapids to take on the Thunderhawks.
