The Barnum Bomber softball team continued with their winning ways at home on Wednesday, downing Cook County with a score of 11-6. The Bombers keep their winning streak intact, picking up their second win of the week.

Katie Myhre was the winning pitcher for the Bombers as she picked up her fourth win of the season. Myhre gave up seven hits in the seven innings pitched on Wednesday. Myhre, a freshman thrower for the Bombers will be heavily relied on as junior Katrina Newman is out with season- ending surgery.

The Bombers were led by Allanie Hanek-Siltanen, who was 3-3 with 2 runs scored. Alyssa Shanda was 2-4 with a double, also scoring 2 runs. Emily Thomsen was 2-4 and scored 2 runs, and Jessica Newman was 1-3 with 2 RBIs.

With the win on Wednesday, the Barnum Bombers improve to 5-0 on the season. They will be in action again Monday, hosting the Cotton Cardinals. Cook County falls to 1-1 on the season and will host Cromwell on Friday.
