Esko 87 Mesabi East 33

The hosting Esko Eskomos opened up a big first half lead and continued to roll as they downed the Giants in this section match-up on Monday night. Keely Deadrick scored a game high of 24 points for the Eskomos, 22 coming in the first half. Amanda Bergstedt added 17 points and six assists in the win. Esko improves to 6-0 on the season.

Lakeview Christian Academy 41 Wrenshall 24


The Lions of Lakeview Christian picked up the road win as they downed the Wrens by 17 in Wrenshall Monday night.
With the win, the Lions improve to 2-4 on the season, while the Wrens fall to 0-6. The Lions led by four at halftime and expanded the lead in the second half. Hannah Franck led the Lions with 15.
Maria Burcar had 14 for the Wrens.

Boys Basketball

Barnum 64 Cromwell 27


The Barnum Bombers made the most of their night at Cromwell High School as they beat the Cardinals by 37 points. Barnum improves its record to 3-0 on the season and pick up a big non-conference win on the road. Nick White paced the Bombers Monday with 15 points.
Jordan Smith had 9 for the Cardinals.

Floodwood 67 AlBrook 59

The Polar Bears came away with a big non-conference win on Monday night when they beat the AlBrook Falcons at home. Floodwood trailed by 5 points at halftime, but then came back big in the second half to outscore the Falcons by 13 points for the win. Amos Blanton scored 15 for the Polarbears, while Peter Martin led all scorers with 21 for AlBrook.
