McGregor Hammers Carlton

Andrew DeMenge continued to add to his impressive season totals Friday night as the McGregor Mercuries beat the Carlton Bulldogs 50-6 in a great Northern 9-man conference match up.

The Mercuries scored 43 first half points and DeMenge scored four  of the six first half touchdowns. DeMenge rushed only 6 times on the night but he finished with 93 yards on the ground and three touchdown runs.

DeMenges rushing touchdowns came from runs of 7 yards, 20, and 31 yards. DeMenge also caught a 23 yard touchdown pass from Auston Anderson.

Josh Greene and Noah Johnson added touchdown runs for McGregor as the Mercuries improve to 3-4 on the season and they will face Hill City on Wednesday night in Hill City.

The Bulldogs lone score came from Dominic Bennett who scored on a 28 yard blocked punt return. The Bulldogs will try to pick up their first win of the season when they will host Northland at home on Wednesday. Northland enters Wednesday contest 1-6 overall and are coming off a 36-6 loss to Kelliher-Northhome.
