Bombers Sail Past Agates

The Barnum Bombers would play host to the States of Two Harbors on October 10th. This would be parents night for the Bombers along with the final home game of the regular season. The Bombers and States would trade point for point most of the night. The Bombers would take the upper hand off of some great serves by both Lauren Hultgren and MJ Anderson.
The first set would be a back and forth battle until the Bombers Lauren Hultgren would give the Bombers a slight lead, that would end up to be a 25-17 point victory. Set number two would also belong to the Bombers, with more added pressure this time coming from Olivia Angell with multiple kills and Darin Mainville and Peyton Bushey standing there ground to block the Agates attempts to take control of the set. The Bombers would take the second set 25-13.
The third set would start with a back and forth battle, until the Agates would take control and pound there way into the lead. The Agates would be able to keep the Bombers from sweeping the night, taking the third set 25-20.
The Bombers would have to battle once more in a fourth set to take the win for the night. This time it would be MJ Anderson with the serving, and Darin Mainville and Olivia Angell with the kills to push the Bombers to a 25-18 fourth set victory to give the Bombers the win for the night.
Sage Miletich would come away from the night with a great 26 dig 1 kill night. Megan Nelson would also have a great night with 18 digs, 2 kills and 2 ace serves. Peyton Bushey would put up 2 kills, 2 digs and 3 blocks. MJ Anderson would come away with only 3 kills, but with 8 ace serves you could see that she has been putting in extra practice on her serves, 8 digs and 3 blocks. Madison Hlavka would come in off the bench and add 3 kills. Lauren Hultgren would add 4 kills, 1 ace, 8 digs and 2 blocks. Emma Koski would also come off the bench for 2 digs. Alexis Kettelhut would add another 7 digs and 1 block. Olivia would have a great night with 7 kills and 11 digs. The big night would go to Darin Mainville with 9 kills, 1 ace serve, 7 digs and 5 blocks. Alyssa Hunter would come off the bench to get 2 kills. Finally Lyric Lekander would come off the bench for 1 dig. The Bombers will now hit the road for there final regular season game at Esko to take on the Eskimos on Tuesday the 15th of October. The Bombers will then start the tournament with a first round home game on the 21st of October.
