AlBrook 68 Wrenshall 22

Kourtney Karppinen paced a balanced scoring attack as the Falcons beat the Wrenshall Wrens Thursday night in Wrenshall. The Falcons built a 49-13 lead at half and cruised easily to the 46 point win. Maria Burcar led the Wrens with 13 points.

Chisholm 50 Carlton 47

Chelsea Perkins scored 18 points as the visiting Bluestreaks downed the Bulldogs. Carlton led 22-14 at the break, but Chisholm came back strong in the second half for the 3-point win. Katie Bloom paced the Bulldogs with 15 points and Sarah Aili added 13.

Duluth East 68 Cloquet 36

The Greyhounds used balanced scoring, and capitalized on 31 Lumberjack turnovers and poor free throw shooting to win at home Thursday night. Elsa Lee led the Greyhounds with 12 points, as Annabel Morrisroe led the Lumberjacks and all scorers with 15 on the night.

Esko 63 Floodwood 60

The Eskomos held on to beat the Floodwood Polar Bears Thursday night in Floodwood in a tight Polar League match-up. A game, which had several lead changes, saw the Eskomos hold on for the three point win. Keely Deadrick led Esko in scoring with 22 points, Alyssa Autio finished with 17 for Floodwood.

Proctor 41 Mesabi East 32

The Proctor Rails opened their season at home Thursday with a win over the Giants to start the season on a winning note. Kara Cloutier scored 12 points and Aubrey Knox added 10 in the nine-point victory. The Rails will be in action again tonight as they host the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels.
