The Lake Superior Lawmen won
the first local
Law Enforcement hockey tournament on Saturday by beating the CEC North Stars 9-3.

This first year tournament is the brainchild of Carlton resident and Virginia police officer Joe Broneak.
By notching the win in the championship game, the Lake Superior Lawmen get their names carved into a four foot replica of the Stanley Cup, which will remain on display at the Carlton Four Season Sports Complex.

The weekend featured games Friday and Saturday, a social get together on Friday, and finished up with a Saturday Banquet and fundraising raffle.

All proceeds will be donated to local causes with Carlton High School chosen as this year’s recipient.
