Hill Murray Captures Greyhound Invitational

The Pioneers of Hill Murray took home first place in the Duluth East Greyhound Invitational Saturday at Duluth East High School. The Pioneers defeated Cambridge-Isanti in three games to capture the title, The Pioneers lost the first game 25-19, but rebounded and won the next two games of the match 25-17 and 15-7 for the first place finish.

North Branch knocked off Forest Lake in two straight games, 26-24 and 25-23 to take home third. Grand Rapids won two straight over the host Greyhounds to finish in fifth place, the socres in the fifth place match were 25-14 & 25-11.

The Esko Eskomos were seventh on Saturday when Eskomos knocked of Superior 23-25, 25-22, and 15-7 for the fifth place finish. Calumet beat Denfeld 25-19 and 25-18 to finish in ninth place overall.

In the battke for 11^th and 12^th places it was the Deer River Warriors knocking off Barnum in three games to finish in 11^th place. The Bombers won the first game 25-11 but the Warriors came back and won the next two 25-17 and 15-7.
