Hermantown Volleyball Remains Hot

The Hermantown volleyball team has been on a tear since their last loss on September 9th.  The Hawks added to their win streak with a 3-1 win over Ashland on Thursday night despite trailing the match 1-0 after the first game.

 

  The Oredockers grabbed a 26-24 win in game one, but Hermantown took the next three games 25-18, 25-23 and 25-16.

 

  As usual the Hawks got a strong effort from setter Emily Neumann who finished with 41 set assists.  Kaitly Paczynski also had a tremendous night with 17 kills and 14 digs for the Hawks.  Abbi Thoreson added 10 kills, Courtney Keneski finished with 27 digs and Jillayne Gilbert ended up with 13 digs for Hermantown.

 

  Ashland was led by Breanna Klobucher with 21 set assists and Breanna Hambuch with 11 kills and six digs.  Nicole Huber added six kills for the Oredockers.

 

  Hermantown is now 11-3 overall and 4-0 in the Lake Superior Conference.
