CEC Swims past Denfeld

The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls swim team picked up a dual meet victory on Thursday afternoon over Duluth Denfeld at Herb Drew Pool in Cloquet as the Lumberjacks knocked off the Hunters by a score of 52-42.

Lexus Wysocki led the Lumberjacks as she had four first place finishes including the 50 & 100 yard freestyle, along with two first place finishes in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. Faith Carlson added three first place finishes two coming in the relays and she also won the 100 yard butterfly. Abby Peddle and Rachel Gorski also were on the winning relay teams and Chloe Klingmann won the 200 freestyle.

The Hunters first place finishers on Thursday were Hanna West in the 500 freestyle, Skylar Wolfe in the 100 backstroke, Katie Rudd won the 100 breaststroke. and the Hunters also took first place in the 200 medley relay. Members of the winning relay team were all winners in individual events, Katie Rudd, Hanna West, Kylie Shea, and Skylar Wolfe.
