Hawks Sweep Superior

The Hermantown Hawks downed the Superior Spartans 7-0 in girls tennis on Thursday afternoon led by Danielle Luke who won at #1 singles 6-2, 6-1 over Hannah Thul.

Hermantown won all the singles matches including at #2 when Madelyn Miller downed Emma Buckeye 6-1, 6-2, at #3 singles it was Sephanie Collins knocking off Hannah Isabella 6-7, 6-2 and 6-4, while #4 singles was won by Megan Chafey over Monica Soland.

The Hawks also won all three doubles matches.  Hermantown’s #1 doubles team of Anna Van Deelen and Mariah Ruhanen beat Allie Thul and Harmony Clarke 6-2, 6-1.  At #2 doubles it was the Hawk’s team of Bailey O’Connell and Becca Henningsen taking a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Sydney Cilkeman and Gabbie Hals.  The Hawk’s #3 team of Maddy Bremel and Molly Eng downed Hailey Anderson and Sarah Urban 6-4, 4-6.
